What it does

Each integration step this workflow runs, in order, what it is for, and the conditions and loops that decide when it runs.

  1. 1StripeNew payment triggerStarts a run for each new payment in Stripe that has gone through.
  2. 2Google SheetsAppend rowAdds one row with the payment's date, the customer's name and email, the amount, the currency, the description and the payment ID.
  3. 3GmailSendEmails the customer a short thank-you with the amount they paid, signed with your business's name.

How it works

What happens on each run, in plain English.

Whenever a payment goes through in Stripe, it is added to your revenue sheet as one new row: the date, the customer's name and email, the amount, the currency, what it was for and Stripe's payment ID. The customer then gets a short thank-you from your Gmail that greets them by name and says how much they paid.

The amount is written as a number you can total, not in Stripe's cents, and rows are only ever added. A payment that has not gone through yet is neither logged nor thanked. When Stripe has no email address for the customer, the payment is still logged and the run says no thank-you was sent.

You need Stripe, Google Sheets and Gmail connected, and a tab headed Date, Customer, Email, Amount, Currency, Description and Payment ID.
