Improvements

You can now share workflows, folders and files with just the teammates who need them, while runs, approvals and API keys follow the same access. New Files steps also let workflows read, zip, unzip and prepare documents and images on their own.

  • Pro and Enterprise workspaces can now restrict access to folders, workflows, documents and apps, so only the members and roles you choose can see or edit them, and admins and owners keep a permission to reach everything.
  • Runs, Approvals, comments, audit history, the Developer API and AI tools now follow workflow access, so keys and connected agents only reach the items their member can see, and restricted workflows cannot be run, copied or referenced around their sharing.
  • Manage access is now available on folders and items, showing a Shared with list only when something is restricted and hiding roles that already reach everything, and the Usage breakdown no longer names workflows a member cannot see.
  • Workflows can now read files directly with the Files steps, opening CSV, TSV, Excel, PDF, Word, JSON, text and Markdown into rows or text, and creating CSV, Excel, text or JSON files from your data that keep sensible headers and file names.
  • Create a file can now make PDFs from Markdown or HTML, so workflows can turn invoices, quotes and reports into PDFs with a consistent layout, Unicode-friendly fonts and safe image loading from your own HTTP and file steps.
  • Files gains Unzip a file and Zip files steps, so workflows can unpack ZIP attachments into individual documents for processing and pack multiple files back into a single ZIP while keeping folder structure and clear names.
  • A new Edit an image step prepares photos for posts in one pass, letting workflows resize or crop to common post sizes, add text or logo watermarks, fix orientation, strip location data and save smaller JPG, PNG or WebP files.
  • Values, dates, lists and messages are now read the same way in every step, so checkboxes, list inputs, Split text, Format as text and other built-ins treat blanks, booleans, records and lists consistently across your workflows.
  • Saving a workflow now stops inputs and schedules that would behave unexpectedly at run time, catching unknown variables, invalid Repeat N times counts, unsupported schedule rules and mismatched Run a workflow inputs with clear suggestions.
  • Loops and Filter list steps now work together more predictably: new loops name their item after the list, filters inside a loop explain when they cannot see the loop item, and long messages with many fields save and run reliably.
  • Built-in steps now read numbers, dates, text and lists the way people write them, so amounts, percentages, currencies, holidays, phone numbers and date parts match your workspace’s time zone and country and give clearer errors when something cannot be read.
  • Wait and Wait until steps now set long waits aside without holding a worker, survive deploys, and show a Waiting until… status in Runs, while date and number pickers use dropdowns for time zones, countries, units and styles where possible.
  • Code steps now run only with full isolation, errors show just the lines you wrote, and API and AI-tool run details clearly mark which step failed and why.
  • Step errors across the app now use the same plain names you see in the builder, including the field and value that went wrong, and Format as text keeps your text, emoji and numbers as written with clearer style options.
  • New accounts now skip extra setup screens and go straight to choosing what you work on and starter workflows, while time zone, country and theme follow the browser and system by default so schedules and dates match what you see.
  • Signing up with Google now creates your account in one step and takes you straight into Lodol or back to the AI tool you were connecting, only asking extra questions when your profile is missing a name or you start from sign-in with an unknown address.
  • Signing up with email now signs you in as soon as you verify your address in that browser, with a simpler Check your email page that resends in one click, handles mistyped addresses and keeps the verification link working until it expires.
  • Connecting from the desktop window now returns you to the window even when you deny access on a consent screen, so saying no cleanly closes the loop instead of leaving you in a stray browser tab.
  • The builder guide now sets clearer hard rules for AI-built workflows, so Connect AI tools describe what they can and cannot do, show names instead of raw ids, avoid noisy inbox triggers and ground AI steps in real meeting and approver details.
  • The About page on the website has been rewritten as a single short story about Lodol and the team, with a unified team grid, clearer bios and links through to the principles and careers pages.

Fixes

A dozen new integrations join Lodol, from Adobe Acrobat Sign, Azure Web Apps and AWS CloudFormation to Help Scout, Buffer and Zoho CRM. You can also manage member sessions more safely and see cleaner step cards in your runs.

  • Members with the new Sign out other members permission can now remotely sign teammates out from the Members page, and admins have this permission by default.
  • Run step cards no longer repeat the app name when a connection uses the same name, so runs are easier to scan.
  • Connect AI’s consent screen now always offers Delete workflows as an extra, unticked permission, so tools like Claude can request it explicitly when you choose to allow deletions.
  • Integration categories are now consistent between the app and the website, so you find apps like LaunchDarkly, RingCentral and Zoho tools under the same headings everywhere.

Run an AI agent: give a model a task and the tools to do it

The new Run an AI agent step hands a task to the model of your choice, along with the actions and workflows it may use, and returns exactly the fields you ask for. It runs on your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini or other model account, and every move it makes is on the record.

Tools from your apps and your workflows

Any integration action or one of your own workflows can be a tool. Fix the inputs you don't want the model to choose, like which spreadsheet it writes to, and it decides the rest.

A result the next step can use

Fields to return hands the following steps a structured result instead of a wall of text, so a workflow can act on exactly what the agent found.

It reads your files

The agent reads PDFs and images, up to 10 files at a time, whether they're uploaded, linked or handed over by an earlier step.

Every move on the record

The run shows the model used, the tokens spent and every tool call, so you can see exactly how the agent reached its answer.

Built to finish the job

A fallback model, a turn limit and an optional memory across runs keep longer tasks on track. Choose from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral AI, DeepSeek, Groq and six more providers.

24 Zoho apps join Lodol

From Zoho Books and Desk to Recruit, Sign and WorkDrive, two dozen Zoho apps can now be part of a workflow. They sit together under Zoho in App Families on the Integrations page.

  • Workflows can now be deleted through the Developer API and by AI tools on Connect AI, but only with the new Delete workflows permission, which stays off until you turn it on. AI tools ask you to confirm first.
  • The Runs page now lists runs started by triggers alongside the rest, so a failed one is never out of sight. Untick Show triggered runs to hide them.
  • The run-failed email now quotes the error, and its button opens the run that failed.
  • Every date and time in the app now follows the time zone in your Preferences, and emails name the time zone they're written in.
  • The Runs page says how long finished runs are kept: 30 days on Free and 18 months on paid plans. Builder and Pro workspaces can choose a shorter time under Run history in Settings.
  • A step that returns a long list now shows every entry in the run, not just the first few.
  • Changing how often a schedule runs now takes effect straight away, instead of after its next run.

  • Fixed a secret inside a failed request's web address appearing in the step's error. It's masked there now, and in the run-failed email.
  • Fixed schedules restarting their count whenever Lodol was updated, so every three days now means every three days.
  • Fixed some scheduled workflows on a busy server waiting indefinitely instead of running.

Choose which account each step and trigger uses

When an app has more than one connection, every step and trigger now has a Connection field, so one workflow can read from your own inbox and post from the team's account. And Lodol now tells you the moment a connection needs signing in again, before a run fails.

  • Make my default sets which connection your own steps use without changing anyone else's, and admins can set the workspace default.
  • A connection whose sign-in stops working is flagged everywhere: a banner, a count beside Integrations in the sidebar, and a Reconnect button that goes straight back to the app's sign-in.
  • App steps now retry on their own when an app is briefly unreachable, slow or busy. Integration retries in Settings sets how many times and how long to wait.
  • Removing a connection lists the workflows that use it, and each run shows which connection every step used.
  • A new Outlook email trigger starts a run for each new email in a folder, optionally only from one sender or domain.
  • Gmail, Outlook and Rackspace Email drafts can now reply inside the original conversation.

GPT-6 models, and full toolkits for OpenRouter, Cohere and Mistral AI

Send a prompt to an OpenAI model now offers the GPT-6 models, and OpenRouter, Cohere and Mistral AI each gain a full set of actions, from reading documents to transcribing audio.

Pay per run, with unlimited seats on every plan

Every plan now includes a monthly allowance of runs, and a run counts once however many steps it takes. Seats are unlimited everywhere, and the new Usage page shows exactly where your runs go.

  • Usage, under Manage in the sidebar, shows this month's runs with a forecast for the rest of the month, a bar for every day and the workflows that used the most, with the 12 months before it a click away.
  • Builder and Pro workspaces can turn on Extra runs in Billing to keep workflows running past the month's allowance, up to a spending limit they choose.
  • The workspace owner gets an email at 80 percent of the month's runs and again if they run out, and a banner says when workflows are paused and when they'll start again.
  • Every new workflow now starts private, on every plan, Free included, and anyone who can edit it can share it.
  • A new Viewer role, on every plan, can see workflows, runs, apps and documents and comment on workflows, without changing or running anything.
  • Billing has a billing contact, so invoices and receipts can go straight to your finance team, and checkout takes your business's tax ID.
  • status.lodol.com shows whether the app, workflow runs, the Developer API and AI tool connections are working right now, with 90 days of history. Service Status in the account menu opens it.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or any AI tool that supports MCP, ask for an automation in plain words, and your AI builds it right in your workspace. From then on Lodol runs it, on a schedule or the moment something happens, whether or not your AI tool is still open.

Three panels. First, you ask your AI: when a Stripe payment comes in, add it to our revenue sheet and post it in #sales. Second, the workflow it built in Lodol: a New Stripe payment trigger, an Append row step in Google Sheets and a Send a message step in Slack, turned on. Third, a successful run for every payment.

Connected in a minute

Connect AI, right under Workflows in the sidebar, has the one step each tool needs: a click for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, a single command for Claude Code and Codex, and one web address for ChatGPT, Gemini CLI, Devin, Lovable, Replit and anything else that speaks MCP. You sign in with your Lodol account, so there's no key to copy, and someone without an account can make one on the spot and land straight back in their AI tool.

Your AI works within your rules

When you connect, you choose the workspace and untick any permission you'd rather it didn't have, and it can never do more than your own role allows. It can find, explain, build, change and run workflows, and read how a run went. Connecting apps and managing members, billing and secrets stay with people.

Your keys never pass through the chat

Apps are connected in Lodol itself and workflows use keys by name, so your AI builds with the name while the value never appears in the conversation.

Every change on the record

What your AI changes goes into the workflow's version history like anyone else's edit, so you can see exactly what changed and roll it back in a click. When a run fails, your AI can read the same run you do, work out what went wrong and fix it.

A finished run now has Run again in its header, which starts the workflow's latest version on the spot. Handy once you've fixed whatever stopped it.

The apps most businesses run on now go almost as far in a workflow as they do by hand. Outlook grows from 1 action to 54, Excel from 9 to 58 and Slack to 79, and QuickBooks Online arrives with 79 actions and 7 triggers.

The sidebar now groups everything under Build and Run and Manage, and Billing, Secrets and Values and API Keys each have a page of their own. A secret or value can now be shared with every workflow or only the ones you name.

Let a workflow make a judgment call

Set a condition to Use judgment and finish This is true when… in plain words, like the sender wants to buy something. Lodol decides it by reading and tells you how sure it is, and only that one decision involves AI.

  • Turn on Let this condition answer Not sure, and the borderline cases take their own path, to a person or a review label. The lines start at yes above 70 percent and no below 30, and you can move them.
  • Use judgment works on If / Else, Repeat while and Filter list, which reads up to 1,000 items one at a time and keeps the ones that match.
  • Every run records the answer and how likely it was, like yes at 87 percent. A question that can't be answered fails the step instead of guessing, so Try / Catch can handle it.
  • A judged condition sees only the run's own values, never your secrets, and costs nothing extra: it runs on Lodol's account, with no key to set up.

SmartSuite, BILL and Front join Lodol

Run your SmartSuite workspace, pay bills and send invoices through BILL, and work your shared inboxes in Front, all from a workflow. And the run page now follows the running step only while you're watching it.

Build simple screens on top of your workflows, without code: charts and numbers from what they produce, tables your team can work through, forms that hand a request to the right workflow, and buttons that run one.

Built from widgets

Choose Create, then New App, and drag widgets onto the grid: bar, line and donut charts, single numbers and progress meters, tables, lists and a notes timeline, text, panels and filters, and fields, forms and run buttons. An app can hold up to 50 widgets across 12 screens, and clicking a row can open a screen of its own for that record.

Data straight from your workflows

A widget can show a value your workflows keep up to date, or ask a workflow directly as the screen loads, so anything a workflow can reach, from your CRM to your books, can be on screen. Filter, sort, group and total it without writing anything, and refresh it on demand or every 1, 5 or 15 minutes.

A button anyone can press

A run button starts a workflow for the person who needs it done, asking for any details first and offering a link to watch the run. Fields, forms and notes hand what people type to the workflow you choose, and every save is recorded as a run.

Screens that look like yours

Give an app your brand's color, font and corner style, and a light or dark look. Tables have a records layout made for lists of people, jobs or orders, with status pills and marks that show what's on file at a glance.

Shared safely

Everyone in the workspace can open your apps, and people who can edit workflows can build them. Nothing fires while you're editing, every app keeps a version history, and owners and admins can publish a read-only link for people outside the workspace.

Add to workspace, and it runs

Add to Workspace copies the workflow into your workspace and opens it in the editor. Connect the apps it uses, a one-time setup for each, and it's running. From there it's yours to change: swap an app, move the schedule, add a step.

Workflows that cope with the unexpected

A plan B for the step that fails at 2am, workflows you can call from other workflows, Python for the odd calculation and a step that reaches any app with an API. And every step can now be tested on its own.

A plan B when a step fails

Wrap steps in a Try / Catch, and if one of them fails, the steps under On error run instead of the whole run stopping. Post the alert to Slack, say, and if Slack is down, send it by email. The error is saved too, so the plan B can say what went wrong.

Workflows inside workflows

Build a piece once, like looking up a customer or formatting an invoice, and call it from any workflow with Run a workflow. Inputs and Outputs, in the editor's top bar, sets what it takes and what it hands back, and every call gets a run of its own, linked from the run that made it.

Python where you need it

For the calculation no app does, Run Python code takes values from earlier steps and hands its result to the next. It runs offline, with no internet or file access, within strict limits on time and memory.

Any app with an API

If an app isn't in Lodol yet, Call an API reaches it directly, REST or GraphQL, with any method, headers, query parameters and a body. Keys come from Secrets and Values, never the step itself, and you choose whether the workflow stops or carries on if the call fails.

Test one part at a time

Every step's menu now offers Run up to this step, Run from this step and Run only this step, so you can check a change without running the whole workflow, and without sending that email again.

GitHub can now start a workflow when a pull request, issue, push, release or review request comes in. Slack gains 12 actions and 5 triggers, from reading threads to watching for reactions.

Workflows that read like flowcharts

Every workflow now runs from Start to End, and an If / Else is a decision with Yes and No paths. A chain of else-ifs is now one decision with a path for each condition, instead of a staircase of nested forks.

Documents: write it down next to the work

Every process has a page of notes somewhere. Now it can live in Lodol, in the same list and the same folders as the workflows that run it, with version history, a read-only link to share and export to PDF or Markdown.

In the same place as your workflows

Choose Create, then New Document. Documents sit beside your workflows and in the same folders, so the runbook for month-end close lives in the Month-end folder, right next to the workflows that do the work.

Quick to write

Headings, lists, checklists, quotes and dividers, bold, italics, links, highlights and inline code. Paste notes you already keep in Markdown and they arrive formatted, and everything saves as you type.

Earlier versions, side by side

Compare any earlier version with the current one and choose Restore This Version to bring it back. Restoring adds a new version rather than erasing the ones after it, so even a restore can be undone.

Share it without sharing your workspace

Share turns on a link anyone can read but not edit, and they won't see anything else in your workspace. The link always shows the latest version, and Make Private turns it off whenever you like.

Take it anywhere

Export saves a document as a PDF or as Markdown, and Duplicate makes a copy in the same folder.

Secrets and Values: one safe place for every key your workflows use

Store an API key once, encrypted and hidden the moment you save it, and let any step use it by name. Settings like an approval limit live beside it, so changing one updates every workflow that uses it.

Secrets, stored once and never shown again

Add an API key or a token and it's encrypted as you save it. Nobody sees the value again, admins included. Steps use it by name, as @secrets.STRIPE_KEY, and get the real value only at the moment they run.

Values everyone can read

The spending limit above which a manager has to approve, the Slack channel alerts go to, the address a report is sent to: these are Values. They stay readable, and steps use them by name too, as @values.APPROVAL_LIMIT.

Change it once, and every workflow follows

Replace an expiring key, or raise the approval limit from $500 to $1,000, in one place, and every workflow that uses it picks up the change on its next run.

Hidden wherever it could show up

Secret values are kept in Google Cloud's Secret Manager, not in Lodol's own database. If a step's result ever contains one, Lodol replaces it with *** in the run, in step results and in error messages.

For the whole workspace, or one workflow

Owners and admins manage the workspace's secrets and values, and custom roles can be given the new Manage stored secrets and Manage stored values permissions. A workflow's own, set from the key icon in the editor, can be managed by anyone who can edit it, and take precedence over workspace ones with the same name.

Single sign-on, SCIM and the security controls your IT team asks for

Pro and Enterprise workspaces can now sign people in through their identity provider, add and remove members automatically, and set the rules everyone in the workspace works under. And every account, on every plan, can now protect itself with an authenticator app.

SAML single sign-on

Verify your company's email domain, connect Okta, Microsoft Entra or any other SAML identity provider from its metadata, and people sign in with Continue with SSO. Turn on Require SAML single sign-on and members can only come in through your provider. The owner always can, so an expiring certificate never locks the workspace out, and Lodol warns you before it expires.

SCIM provisioning, with roles from your groups

Your identity provider now adds people to the workspace when they join and removes them when they leave. Map its groups to roles, first match wins, and each person's role follows their group from then on. SCIM tokens belong to the workspace, so they keep working after whoever created them moves on.

Workspace security policies

Security settings now set the rules for everyone: require two-factor authentication, and which kind; accept new members only from your company's email domains; allow access only from the IP addresses you list, API keys included; and sign people out after a stretch of inactivity. Lodol won't save an allowlist that would shut you out.

Audit log streaming

Send every audit log entry to Datadog, Splunk, Sentry or any HTTPS endpoint within seconds and in order, with up to three streams per workspace. Each stream shows when it last delivered, and what the destination said when it couldn't.

Authenticator apps and recovery codes, for everyone

Two-factor authentication now works with any authenticator app as well as emailed codes, on every plan. Turning it on gives you 10 single-use recovery codes.

Run a workflow on a schedule, or once at a set time

Start a workflow with Run at time to run it once at an exact date and time, or with Repeat on schedule to run it again and again, and Lodol starts each run on time.

Meet the Developer API

Your own software can now run Lodol workflows. With an API key, list the workflows in a workspace, start a run, follow it while it works, and stop it if you need to.

An event in your own system calls the Lodol API, which starts a workflow run. The run works through its steps and returns a result your system reads back.

Keys with just the access they need

Create keys on the API Keys page and give each one only the scopes it needs: reading workflows, running them, or reading runs. A key is shown once and stored only as a hash, and revoking it ends its access straight away.

Start a run, then follow it

Starting a run returns its ID at once, so long workflows never hold a connection open. Read the run whenever you like, with each step's results if you want them, or stop it.

Retries that never run twice

Send an Idempotency-Key with a run or stop request, and Lodol does the work once however many times the request arrives, for 24 hours.

Limits you can see

Every response carries your remaining requests and when they reset, and a request over the limit says exactly how long to wait.

Steps that link straight to the document

Links in step text are now clickable, and a Google Docs step links straight to its document, so checking what a step works on is one click away.
