Triggers

Start a workflow when something happens in SatNOGS.

  • SatNOGS New ObservationTriggers when a SatNOGS ground station's recorded pass of a satellite is rated good, bad or failed (or, for any, as soon as it ends), with links to its waterfall, audio and decoded data. SatNOGS is checked every 10 minutes

Actions

Steps a workflow can run in SatNOGS.

  • Search satellitesFind satellites in SatNOGS DB by name, other name, NORAD ID or SatNOGS ID, optionally only those in orbit, re-entered or still to launch. Each comes with its NORAD ID, status, launch and re-entry dates, countries, website and picture. Leave the search empty to list every satellite of a status.
  • Get a satelliteRead one satellite from SatNOGS DB: its names, NORAD ID, status, launch, deployment and re-entry dates, operator, countries, website, picture, and whether SatNOGS can decode its telemetry.
  • List a satellite's transmittersList the radio transmitters, transceivers and transponders a satellite carries, lowest downlink frequency first, with their frequencies in MHz, mode, data rate, uplink, licensed service and whether they are active.
  • Search transmittersFind transmitters on any satellite by mode, downlink frequency range in MHz, status, type or licensed service, such as every active AFSK transmitter between 145 and 146 MHz. Each comes with its satellite's name and NORAD ID, lowest frequency first.
  • Get a transmitterRead one transmitter from SatNOGS DB by its ID, with its satellite, frequencies, mode and status, and how SatNOGS Network's passes of it went: how many were made, rated good or bad, and the success rate.
  • Get a satellite's latest TLEGet the newest two-line element set (TLE) SatNOGS DB holds for a satellite, the orbital elements tracking software uses to predict passes, with its epoch, source, inclination, period, and the orbit's highest and lowest points in km worked out.
  • List modesList every modulation mode SatNOGS knows, such as FM, AFSK, BPSK or SSTV, alphabetically. A mode is what 'Search transmitters' and 'List observations' narrow to.
  • List observationsList satellite passes SatNOGS ground stations have recorded, newest first, for a satellite, a station or both, with their rating (good, bad, failed or not yet rated) and links to the waterfall, audio and decoded data. Narrow by mode and by when the pass began. SatNOGS answers about 60 of these lists an hour without an account, each up to 25 passes.
  • Get an observationRead one recorded pass from SatNOGS Network: the satellite, transmitter and frequency, the ground station and its position, when it began and ended, how high the satellite rose, its rating, and links to the waterfall picture, the audio recording and every file of decoded data.
  • List ground stationsList the SatNOGS ground stations that are online (or testing), nearest first around a point or busiest first, with their position, antennas and bands, how many passes they have recorded and their success rate. Narrow by name, band and distance.
  • Get a ground stationRead one SatNOGS ground station, online or not: its owner, position and grid locator, antennas and the frequencies they cover, status, when it last checked in, how many passes it has recorded and scheduled, and its success rate.
  • List scheduled observationsList the passes SatNOGS ground stations are scheduled to record, soonest first, for a satellite, a station or both: when each begins and ends, the frequency and mode, and how high the satellite will rise.
