An API of Ice and Fire

• Search booksList the books of A Song of Ice and Fire, optionally filtered by title or by when they were released. Each book comes back with its ISBN, publisher, page count, release date, and the ids of every character in it and every character who narrates a chapter of it.
• Get a bookGet one book by id, with its ISBN, publisher, page count, release date, and the ids of its characters and POV narrators.
• Get a book's POV charactersGet the characters who narrate a book, as whole records rather than the URLs the book carries: who they are, what they are called, whether they are alive, and who played them on screen.
• Search charactersSearch the characters by name, gender, culture, where or when they were born or died, and whether they are still alive. This is also how a workflow turns a name into the id the other character actions take.
• Get a characterGet one character by id: their titles and aliases, culture, birth and death, the houses they are sworn to, the books they appear in and narrate, and who played them on screen.
• Get a character's relationsGet a character together with their father, mother, spouse and the houses they are sworn to, all resolved into whole records in one step. A relative the API does not record comes back as null rather than as an error.
• Search housesSearch the houses of Westeros and beyond by name, region or words, and by whether they have words, titles, seats or ancestral weapons at all - or whether they have died out.
• Get a houseGet one house by id: its words, coat of arms, region, seats, titles, ancestral weapons, when it was founded or died out, and the ids of its lord, heir, overlord, cadet branches and sworn members.
• Get a house's membersGet who a house is: its current lord, heir, founder and overlord, plus its sworn members, all resolved into whole records in one step, up to the limit you set.
