Steps a workflow can run in INSPIRE HEP.

  • Search papersFind high-energy physics papers on INSPIRE by words or INSPIRE's search syntax (such as 'a witten and t black hole'), narrowed by document type, the paper's date and the day INSPIRE added it, sorted newest or most cited. Each paper comes with its authors, arXiv ID, DOI, journal, citation counts and links.
  • Get a paperGet one paper from INSPIRE by its arXiv ID, DOI, INSPIRE record ID, BibTeX key or link: title, authors with their affiliations, arXiv categories, journal reference, citation counts, keywords and abstract. Says found: false when INSPIRE doesn't have it.
  • List a paper's citationsList the papers that cite a paper, newest or most cited first, with how many there are in all. Give the paper by arXiv ID, DOI, record ID or link.
  • List a paper's referencesList the references a paper cites, in its own order, each with its title, authors, arXiv ID, DOI and journal, and a link to INSPIRE's record of it when INSPIRE has matched one.
  • Get a citation summaryGet INSPIRE's citation summary for an author's papers or any search: papers, citations, average citations, h-index and how many papers fall in each citation band, for all papers and for published ones, optionally without self-citations.
  • Export citationsGet one or more papers as BibTeX or LaTeX citation entries, ready to paste into a bibliography, from their arXiv IDs, DOIs, record IDs or links. Says which papers INSPIRE doesn't have.
  • Search authorsFind physicists' INSPIRE profiles by name, with their ORCID iD, INSPIRE BAI, current affiliation, career, arXiv categories, advisors and awards.
  • Get an authorGet one physicist's INSPIRE profile by record ID, ORCID iD or INSPIRE BAI: name, current affiliation, career, arXiv categories, advisors, awards and links. Says found: false when INSPIRE has no such profile.
  • List an author's papersList the papers on an author's INSPIRE profile, newest or most cited first, with how many there are in all.
  • Search institutionsFind universities, laboratories and research centres in INSPIRE by name or place, with their address, website, ROR ID and how many papers list them.
  • Get an institutionGet one institution by its INSPIRE record ID or link, such as the ID an author's positions give: name, address, website, ROR ID and paper count.
  • Search conferencesFind physics conferences, schools and workshops on INSPIRE, upcoming ones by default or between two dates, with their dates, place, website and series.
  • Get a conferenceGet one conference by its INSPIRE record ID, its CNUM (such as C26-07-30) or link: title, dates, place, website, series and how many of its talks INSPIRE holds.
  • Search jobsFind jobs on HEPJobs, INSPIRE's job board for physics: PhD, postdoc, faculty and staff positions, narrowed by rank, region and field, open ones by default, newest or nearest deadline first.
  • Search experimentsFind experiments and collaborations in INSPIRE, such as ATLAS or IceCube, with their accelerator, host institutions, dates, website and how many papers INSPIRE links to them.
  • Search journalsFind journals in INSPIRE by name or abbreviation, such as 'Phys.Rev.D', with their full title, publisher, ISSNs and whether they are peer reviewed.
  • Search seminarsFind physics seminars and talks listed on INSPIRE, upcoming ones by default, with their speakers, start time in UTC and in their own time zone, abstract and the link to join online.
